Mini taco-inspired treats made with crispy wonton wrappers, savory taco filling, and melted cheese โ perfect for parties, game nights, or a fun family dinner!
Ingredients
For the Taco Filling:
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
For the Cups:
24 wonton wrappers (or small tortillas cut into circles)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
1/2 cup refried beans (optional)
Nonstick cooking spray
Toppings (optional but recommended):
Sour cream
Salsa or pico de gallo
Diced tomatoes
Sliced jalapeรฑos
Shredded lettuce
Chopped green onions
Fresh cilantro
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Lightly spray a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
Cook the Beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked.
Drain any excess fat.
Season the Beef:
Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Let simmer for about 5 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
Assemble the Taco Cups:
Place 1 wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, pressing it down gently to form a cup shape.
Add a small spoonful of refried beans (if using), then taco meat, and a sprinkle of cheese.
Add another wonton wrapper on top and repeat the layers: beans, meat, and cheese.
Bake:
Bake for 12โ15 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Carefully remove the taco cupcakes from the pan and let cool for 2โ3 minutes.
Top with your favorite toppings โ sour cream, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeรฑos, or green onions.
